Monkies jumping on the bed

It's a no no to jump on the bed at home when I was kid. But somehow it was okay to jump on the bed at a hotel we stayed at... I guess the belief is that it is not ours ;-P

When we were getting ready one morning, Aislinn decided to test out our spring mattress. I never really care if they jumped on the bed as long as all the pillows and blankets are all surrounding the bed for a soft landing. Maybe it is also because our good friend also own a furniture store.

For me, it's an opportunity to bust out the camera and practice some shots.

Web development

I think it was one of my dreams to be a web developer. But then I think it was the dot com days that somehow got me into software. Maybe because there was a time I worked on front end development and noticed I wasn't all that great in UI designs.

Anyhow, this past week I've been busting my butt to help out my long time friend, Jason, to get a website up and running for his Vegas trade show on Monday. I have to give props for my new found drink, Mona Vie, which gave me energy every morning as if I had full 8 hour of sleep and still able to survive the nine hours work days and still be able to come home to do my job as a mom.

Here is the website. Not too shabby, huh? I mean, it's no Pottery Barn Kids web design ;-)

Goodbye terrible twos

I'm not sure if there's such a thing for my son, Declan. Maybe terrible 14 - 24 months. Not like my daughter who really had the terrible twos and it was day and night just months before she turned 3. For Declan, all I can say is that he's a Boy! A destructive, wrestling boy who loves punching me and Michael and rough-housing.

He is 3 now, yet he still very much acts as my baby. I guess I am not complaining since he is my last one.

Although, with all the time, money, and passion I have spent, I should say I do have a third child. His name is Canon ;-)

Trying out a new look for the blog.

I was working on a friend's website this weekend and decided that my Blog needs a new look. At first, I was going to just change the background, and then I was going to make a Blog header...

I'm kind of glad I took HTML in college, so this stuff isn't very hard. But I've never done CSS, so there is a learning curve there. I really like the way this template looks but it cuts off my pictures... *sigh*. I might look into this more after I deliver my friend's furniture website, then I will give this more thought. I apologize about the pictures being cut off.

My energy juice

This story goes, my daughter’s pre-school teacher got cancer. And like any cancer patient, she needed to get chemo and all that not so fun stuff. I was talking to her at a birthday party. She was telling me there’s this Mona Vie "wine" (did someone say wine?) that’s been giving her a lot of energy and making her feel good. She said she doesn’t know if it’s in her mind, but it’s been something good she received.

Then a month later, my neighbor invited me over to drink this stuff. Tell you the truth; if I hadn’t talk to my daughter’s pre-school teacher, I would not have gone to this party. And after a few days, I’m HOOKED!!! I wake up every morning without lying in bed dragging to start the workday. This week, I’ve been up and ready to go without having to hit the snooze button. I’m Hooked and sold! Give me more!! I’m not one that drinks red bull or coffee, always running on natural high ;-) But this antioxidant fruit juice is one for me.

Marierios - Heritage look

Starting this session, I have changed things a bit. Instead of providing my clients a ton of images, I have decided to provide half of what I used to. And give personal touches to each one of them. I gave this session a more heritage look. Maybe it will be a new option for clients.

Chens

San was thinking that she will have her baby shower a month before her due date and that she will have plenty of time to get things together. The night after her baby shower, they were in for the real gift. And here comes Kaitlyn, ready to enjoy the gifts from the baby shower. After almost 18 months, this preemie is all grown up.

This girl has the chubbiest cheeks :)

Sailing part II

I did mention that life's been busy right? With a full time job and a part time hobby, my personal blog updates have become less frequent because I am trying to enjoy life. This blog is probably long over due.

We went sailing again this year for father's day and took our friends with us who's moving to Seattle. Although, this year the temperature was a little cold, the kids had a BLAST.

Here's Aislinn long time friend Jayden. Did I mention that children are way more fun to photograph when they don't know you that well? It's fun when they open up and just want to goof around with you.

The asian side of Aislinn came out :-P

Children photography

I really enjoy photographing children. They are natural, fun, and always look good no matter what they are doing. They are especially well behaved when they don't know you ;)
