Cribs, Kids, and Sweat

Our good friends Heather and Jason opened up their own kids furniture stores in Tracy and Dublin. The Tracy store has been open for just under a year. You can tell they've dedicated a lot of time, sweat and good taste to make it the chicest kids furniture store (move over Pottery Barn!). It is also voted the Best of the East Bay in the Diablo Magazine. If you have kids, go check it out.
I would like one of everything please...

Four Eyes

Michael and I both wear glasses. I'm sure there are many others around Aislinn that do as well. Aislinn came to me one day saying that she can not see and that she needs glasses. We take our kids to the eye doctor since they were 6 months old so we know very well that Aislinn's got the best eye sight out of all of us. However, I remember feeling that way when I was young. I wanted glasses... Now I can't get rid of the damn things even if I wanted to.

I was lucky enough to find an online store located in San Rafael that makes very inexpensive glasses. Instead of spending $200 to show her what a pain it is to wear glasses, I was able to show her for just $25.

After 5 minutes, she was done with them.

Now, try it on brother...

Water Park Fun!

This is the coolest water park. It's not far from our house and it's very toddler friendly. It's clean, and lifeguards are everywhere. No naughty kids or bullies in the pool because the lifeguards are watching! I'm planning Declan's next birthday party here for sure!

Bye-bye butterflies

Aislinn has gotten a butterfly kit for her birthday. We sent in the coupon for some live larvae about two and a half weeks ago. We watched them grow from less than half a inch to morphing into butterflies. This was the most exciting part. But since live butterflies are a lot more harder to take care of and they live such a short life, we asked Aislinn to let them go.

Out into the wild

Another challenge I faced, camping pictures. Not really a place to lag your big honking SLR around in the dirt. Plus with the different elements of light, shadow, water reflection, and skin tones, this one has got to be one of the MOST challenging environments. 15 adults, 14 kids, plus the wild birds and squirrels. Let just say, there was no lack of subject matters. Now, where should I start...

I take that someone didn't have a good time and ram down the site post. :P
